So yes, my summer started really early this year – it surprises even me! Didn’t plan for this and thank God I have finally learned not to refuse offers of this kind. Well I will be this young 😛 only this summer so I do feel that time is slipping away – fast!
Unless you are starving or don’t have enough money to pay the bills just please don’t refuse evenings out or trips with people and do like I did for ridiculously long time: shut yourself at home, work and of course get fat in the process. Yes, such a fool I’ve been. But I have finally some to my reason and I guess this will be one wild summer :). I certainly hope so!
AND I will be recording all of my trips right here….You know those people who travel and write about it and get paid. Oh, I could kill for a job like that.
Let’s get started (at least I hope this will be a start):
Maybe you have never heard of a little place in Greece called Sani beach. It’s a true pearl, very small and a very gorgeous place. If you are interested you can check the location here.
My camera, which I paid for twice the price of my phone, is still collecting dust under my bed, but fortunately those phones are doing a great job at capturing good photos. I don’t have iPhone (yet) but I like the way my Samsung S3 Galaxy gets the job done.
We arrived very early in the morning, it was 7 am, and I really don’t recommend this. You’ll be sleepy, the bars aren’t working at the beach, basically just the hotel is active. And what a hotel that is! Pure Heaven. Really a Heaven on Earth. It’ called Sani Reach Resort Hotel in case you are so lucky to book a vacation there.
Here is the entrance to the complex:
You can see how clean everything is, how nicely ordered. It is designed for maximum relaxation and joy. And in the hot weather the little fountain gives a refreshment. Actually the whole garden looks so refreshing. Makes you forget the chaos of this world. Gives you serenity and peace. Exactly what a man needs on a vacation.
Right across this peaceful little garden there is a sight that will make you drool:
Well just looking at this image makes me feel jealous. You know yachts don’t serve you for life necessities – they exist purely for your pleasure. It must be wonderful to own one and let the only thing around you be just the blue water. A day in the sea with your own yacht! Yeah, maybe in my next life….
If I could imagine a perfect hotel beach then this would be it. I especially love the beige/sand color and how it all flows together in a perfect match. It looks very classy, very fancy. No screaming pink or green beach colors which only hurt my eyes and are created for attracting people from a plain. Designed with a good taste and for higher class of people. Rich people maybe but I am mostly thinking of intellectual people – although these two are not always correlated.
This may be my favorite photo of this short weekend getaway. The colors are perfection. And this big seashell is a beauty. This is what you get when you go to an expensive place like this – nicely rolled and prepared towels waiting for you at the beach. I could hug the seashell – that’s how much I love this combination.
So if you are not already wishing you were right now at this awesome summer hideaway then this hotel terrace will definitely make you do so. Just imagine wakening up and going down on this beautiful terrace for a juice and coffee. Well it hurts me just writing about it – you know when something is so beautiful that it hurts you.
It seems that every next image is just as beautiful as the previous one if not more. Yes, this is one of the 2 or 3 pools by the hotel. I could watch all day this azure blue and not get tired. Makes me also wonder how much must this cost. I think I won’t even look so that I could imagine one day having so much money to b able to afford a luxury like this.
Since I love this pool color so much I have to put another image of it, resistance is futile for this:
Ok I can’t stop really, here is another one, you simply have to see such beauty. Who am I to deprive you?
Let’s go to our place finally. A friend of mine said that this beach resort is for another class of people. That is true, but you know what? Although so amazingly looking it was almost empty. And despite of its beauty this made it look a bit sad.
But on our side? Oh fun! We had a nice beach bar with great music. A beach without music is really no joy for me. So, we had nice music, nice drinks to order and lots of young people (ok, this depends on your age group but mostly there are young people, like no families and no kids. If I can’t stand something in a beach then it is small children screaming around. Unless it is my niece, she can scream as much as she likes and I wouldn’t mind it a bit).
I have to admit there was one single flaw on this entire trip: the frape on this beach is awful. And I don’t say awful for coffee lightly. It just isn’t good but for the next time I’ll try espresso.
Oh this also reminded me of food inspectors and their jobs. One of the nicest jobs – you get served the beast meals and then you write a critique. Also a good job to have in life, maybe altered for beach degustation :).
The below image is from the beach itself. You can see it has a very fine sand and I love laying on it although I had a seat with umbrella. It is always good to connect with the Earth and besides that the sand was like a warm therapy for my tortured back. The sand together with the sea water is something to revive you and bring you back from zombieland.
The afternoon was a bit cloudy and we had a few raindrops but nothing scary. I didn’t swim though, the water was still too cold for me. But the smell of salt will get you high enough.
The bar staff removed all the mattresses because of the rain and here is what it looked like (you can also notice everybody squeezing in the bar):
In the bar in the afternoon there is an actual live DJ and once we even had a live band playing. Party! We had extra drinks that day and it was a shame that we had to catch the bus. The fun was just getting started. But that’s why we plan going for a full weekend!
The Sani Beach is really a great place for summer vacation. If you don’t know where to go I hope I have given you at least one good idea.
