As I was checking my mail today I noticed someone repined my most recently created image.
At first I thought: greaattttttt, someone finally noticed that I can create good images. Well semi-create as I use Canva.com to help me in the process.
And for a moment I felt so good and proud. Then I went to see what kind of board is that.
It turns out it was a marketing board where the pinner simply got my image and slapped his/her url on it!
Now that is a very dangerous practice as you can get sued for big money. You can get burned very easily.
So I wrote a warning message right below the image stating that it is a stolen one and giving the original source (my post right on this blog).
And although this is not a big creation of mine, I didn’t spend a lot of time making it, didn’t put in my blood and sweat in creating it, I must say that it is a pretty sh***y feeling to see this happening. I feel like shouting to everyone online: A thief!
I think I have a new understanding now for people getting ripped off on their courses, videos, books and all sorts of creations being shared illegally online. They must be so mad about it. And I don’t know if the word mad can really describe what they are feeling.
And a new point of view on the term intellectual property. Because it truly is a property and you can’t simply trans-pass over it.
So as I am guilty of getting some books online without buying them (but I’d have to spend a fortune that I don’t have right now) I will let this go by just with a warning. Other people have helped me and if I helped someone, even in this way, so be it.
It still doesn’t feel right though!!!
The Other Day I Got Mail That Made Me Cry
As soon as I opened it and started reading this mail it just made me cry – unstoppably. Those words must come from someone who has experienced the same thing and knows EXACTLY how it feels. It just resonated with me so much that I had to share it here.
Those were some powerful words typed out – strong enough to cause an emotional storm in me. And all coming from a stranger. It’s truly amazing what words can do to us.
Another thing that I believe now is that you can truly fall with someone who speaks the right words to you. Or that we really do have trigger words inside of us.
This reminded me actually of those poor MK Ultra victims and the most disturbing video I have watched on this topic. Just watch how does Britney Spears react when the word weird is being spoken. She suddenly loses herself as if she suddenly got into that room and repeats “Hello” several times. If you know anything about split personalities then you’ll know what I’m talking about. She even mentions it like: “Oooh strong Britney”. That is truly a strange reaction and strange behavior and you can clearly see things are not normal. So check the video:
(the maker of this video shares the same opinion with me so here it is)
