My number one rule for buying clothes is that shoes are the most important part of clothing, especially in winter.
When my feet are warm I feel warmth and comfort throughout my whole body. So winter shoes are extremely important to me, I want them to be durable, good looking and comfortable. All these features come with a price of course, but when I have the money I have no regrets about buying high priced, good quality winter boots.
As I have outworn my last boots this year I had to buy a new pair. After a colleague recommended Timberlands I decided to go for them.
It was a fairly easy decision, I went out shopping for a sweater and passing by the Timberland store I went in to quickly check what’s the offer. And 10 minutes after going in I went out with a bag of brand new gorgeous dark purple Timberlands for women. Once I put them on my feet there was no turning back! I absolutely love the color. I have always wanted dark purple boots and although the price was really too much for me they were simply irresistible.
Here is a closer look of sparkling new 6 inch royal purple Timberland boots for women (approved by my cat Puffy):
Purple is truly the color of royalties, mainly because it is not found in nature by itself but has to be manufactured. In the old times it was very expansive to produce purple color and only royalties could afford it.
Here is a side look of these wonderful Timberlands:
If you are curious about the writing on those dangling things I have a photo of them too:
Here are the main features printed here:
- Warmth without bulk
Yes, it is exactly as it says, the boots don’t give you a bulky feeling, they are well insulated, waterproof and most importantly your feet feel warm inside.
- Water Resistant
For the price they better be! :)). So far I have not tested them on snow but they are made of leather and they should be waterproof. I will update on this point in a month or two.
My feet never once sweated in these boots and I am wearing my Timberlands with thick socks or even 2 pair of normal socks.
Now this is definitely true. Once you brake the initial stiffness they feel truly easy on the feet.
I sure hope so! Maybe if it occurs me I will update this post in 2 or 3 years on this point :).
If you want to check some real people opinions on these boots I have found a good discussion about Timberlands on reddit so click here to read it.
My only warning about these gorgeous dark purple Timberlands: their size seems on the smaller scale. I bought a whole number higher than I usually wear because I want to wear them with double or very thick socks. But my number did seem a bit tight when I tried them on so watch out for this.
My honest verdict on these AWESOME Timberland boots is that if you have the money get them! They look so beautiful, they feel warm and comfortable, I just love having them.
I would recommend them for working places which are cold, they will protect your feet with their thick soles and still look very urban.
